v1.11.0
Dive trips are here. A dive trip is more than a list of dives: it is the place you went, the days you spent there, the people you dived with and the photos you came back with. Version 1.11.0 brings all of that together in one place, whether you plan the trip yourself or join one run by a dive center or club.
Plan your trip. Start a trip from the + button: where you are going, when, and the sites you hope to dive. While you are away, every dive you log and every post you share lands on the trip by itself. An empty day lets you log a dive or mark it as a day without diving, so the trip keeps track of rest days too.
See where you went. The trip map draws the route between the places you actually dived, with your photos as the markers. Zoom out and nearby dives gather into a stack of photos; zoom in and they spread out again. Tap a place to open its dive. Under the map, the timeline goes day by day, and when you are home the recap counts the dives, the time underwater and the deepest point of the trip.
Join a trip with a dive center or club. Dive centers and clubs can now run their trips on Scubaspot, from a morning boat dive to a week away. Each trip shows when and where to meet, the level it is for, the price and how many spots are left, and you join with a tap. Follow a center and you hear about its new trips. Search has a new Trips tab that opens on day trips near you and trips worth planning for.
For dive centers and clubs. Your page now leads with your trips. Plan one, set the meeting point, capacity and price, start the next trip from the last one, and see who has joined. Page insights show how often your trips are viewed.
Mention your buddies. Type @ in a comment, a post or your dive notes to mention another diver. They get a notification and the name links to their profile.
Search that knows where to start. Every search tab now opens on suggestions instead of an empty box: active divers, clubs and dive centers near you, and trips to plan. And the + button suggests where your next dive is, based on what you are doing right now.
Dive site pages, redesigned. A site page now leads with its name, place and ratings, with tabs for the dives logged there, the site's details, the weather now and the dive shops nearby.
Marine life, spotted for you. Upload photos or videos to a dive and the app tries to identify the marine life in them with AI. The species it recognises are added to your dive log automatically, tagged AI, and you can edit them like any other sighting. A dive site's page now also lists the marine life divers have logged there.
Bring your whole logbook. Import now reads UDDF, Subsurface, Garmin FIT, Suunto Dive Manager, Suunto SML, the Suunto DM4 and DM5 database, Divelogs.de and CSV, several files at once and without duplicates. Export writes UDDF, Subsurface, Divelogs.de, Suunto and CSV, and tells you what a format cannot hold before you save. It is the same engine that runs our free Dive Log Converter, so a file that converts on the website imports in the app.
Dive in. Update to the latest version and plan your next trip.
Happy bubbles!
